of Bonnie Parker”, in stores NOW via Burnside (USA), Weatherbox

*Slick 57
vigorously tours the USA, the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand!
The men of Slick 57 are extraordinarily talented at
kicking ass and taking names via the physical, mental and musical
avenues of ass kicking.
Slick 57 plays smart rock music with a touch of twang that
makes the bitchy girls cry and the wimpy boys feel cool. Ironically,
Slick 57’s rabid fan base is primarily comprised of non-bitchy
girls and non-wimpy boys. Praise God! This rare phenomenon undoubtedly
occurs because our heroes are so fucking cool. Most musicians
and bands envy the good looks, killer chops and sweat drenched
drive that infect the boiling blood of our road warrior friends.
We’d like to send a big “fuck you” out to all of the whiny
bastards out there. The bitching and crying is futile so save
the goddamned oxygen and play a little game of, “Shut the fuck
up!”
Since pursuing music as a full time job in the fall
of 2002, Slick 57 has played over 200 shows. They have traveled
extensively through Europe, Australia, New Zealand and their homeland
preaching to the masses while enjoying airplane rides, surfing,
boat culture, beautiful women and truckloads of free drinks. Ignorant
fame seekers ask, “How does such a miracle happen?” Well, it ain’t
all biscuits and gravy, friends. Slick 57 has been through a fair
bit of hell in the last year as well. They’ve been sued, nearly
evicted, amplifiers have been stolen, paychecks have bounced,
the electricity’s been shut off for weeks at a time, the Sliver
Bullet’s been broken down and wrecked, the repo man and the officer
at the E. Dallas drunk tank are on the Christmas card list and
the kinfolk think the boys have lost their minds. In order for
Slick 57 to make ends meet, they have used their college degrees
and calloused hands to work in burrito factories, telemarketing
sweatshops and the ditch-digging industrial unit. Maybe they have
lost their minds!
The truth is: such hardships have only made Slick 57
stronger. The boys will continue to fight the good fight in the
name of the power of rock n roll until their fingers fall off
and their throats dry up. Until then, hold fast and pray for biscuits
and gravy.
***PRIZES***
Slick 57 has been nominated for "Best Roots Act" for
the Dallas Observer Music Awards in 2001, 2002 & 2003. The
Dallas Observer is a discriminating newspaper. In 2002, Ward (the
bass player with mystique) won “Instrumentalist of the Year” in
the Dallas Music Awards. He must be sleeping with the editor…

Horton Heat, Wilco, Southern Culture on the Skids, Wayne Hancock,
